I certainly like your thinking, PFK. He's good isn't he![/ He knows the difference between music and generic noise. Only a few of us left Cody, hee hee!!! Hey! Who woke up Niall?

I basically liked everything I heard except for the over-the-top final track with the chorus. I don't have much more Tiomkin than that. I have "The Old Man and the Sea" and some 1950s industrial LP. Maybe you would like "Search for Paradise" if you knew more about it, or maybe not. It's over the top but that's what some of us love about it. The full original soundtrack with narration is available on CD from the man who owns the rights in Australia. I have it and love it even with the campy 1950s narration. This will give you a better idea what its like: Search For Paradise is one of Tiomkin's great scores, but it already exist in at least 3 editions of varying lenghth and quality. The longest (possibly complete) is almost 40 mn long, without narration, on RCA.

Is anyone willing to fess up that they know what it is? Do you mean they’ve already decided what the next Kickstarter will be or that they’ll simply be recording another score to go along with Dial M? It’s not a Kickstarter.

I wish. But Roger also called it "a nice companion piece"...which makes me think it's either another Hitchcock, another Tiomkin, or both. Yavar

Yavar Just do the carousel fight music from Strangers On A Train and we'll all chip in again.

What is the whole quote?

I deleted it after reading but I'll see if I can dig it up and copy/paste his message here for you... The full quote is: Hi all, just wanted to let everyone know that today we set the recording dates for 6/17-22. In fact we're going to record a second album while we're there. This is funded separately from this Kickstarter campaign, but should will make a nice companion piece. We're still reviewing parts, but things are coming together nicely.

That's what I thought (thanks for posting the full text, Schiffy). My only hesitation is that the Herrmann part of the score is less than a half hour. This makes me think it would be paired with something else to make the disc a reasonable length (maybe a reconstruction of the full Arthur Benjamin score for the original film, with his Cantata being the link between the two?)
