So many terms...can't this, can't that, ...sheesh
I've been craving ribs but the thought of having the Swiss chalet police breathing down my neck puts me off

Honestly the terms aren't even that bad, just the usual terms for AYCE and pretty reasonable. No taking leftovers, no sharing, subsequent orders after the first order comes in third racks without sides.

Is this similar to the way Red Lobster went bankrupt (endless shrimp)?

This is actually not that great of a deal. The full rack of ribs cost 29.99 + tax and if you ask for a refill of ribs they give 4 bones. So you'd have to keep asking them over and over just to get enoughs worth to get you full and your moneys worth.
Thanks RFD

They are probably banking on you to order extra coleslaw and drinks to wash down the greasy ribs

Red Lobster went bankrupt because the company that took them private sold the land to a related company then increasingly jacked up the rents. It had nothing to do with endless shrimp. On the topic of endless shrimp though another company sold them their shrimp and they were absolutely awful quality for the price they charged.
"The sale/leaseback that helped sink Red Lobster involved the July 2014 sale of premium real estate underneath 500 of its stores, which generated $1.5 billion. But that money didn’t go back into Red Lobster; it went instead to the private-equity firm to finance its purchase of the chain, Red Lobster's press release said. That firm was San Francisco-based Golden Gate Capital, with $10 billion in assets.
Golden Gate had paid $2.1 billion to buy Red Lobster in May 2014, so the real estate sale was crucial to the firm’s financing. “Red Lobster is an exceptionally strong brand with an unparalleled market position in seafood casual dining,” Josh Olshansky, managing director at Golden Gate, said at the time, a press release announcing the deal shows.
The $1.5 billion sale crippled Red Lobster. After the real estate was sold, Red Lobster had to pay rent on stores it had previously owned, significantly increasing its costs. According to the bankruptcy filing, by 2023 its rents totaled $200 million a year or approximately 10% of its revenues."

Omg the horror of only being able to order 4 bones.
Also $30 is lower then most places for a rack of ribs.

I haven't had them in a long time but I don't think they were that bad. Can't say they are the best but not the worst. As long as the meat is tender and the BBQ sauce is good, then it will probably work most of the time. You're essentially tasting the sauce with the meat as the base.

Yeah, I bet you can do anything better. Why don't you just stay off RFD and do your thing? Why pay for anything.
